Welcome to the North Attleborough Historical Commission Web Site! The Town of North Attleborough is very fortunate to have four very active groups involved in the stewardship of our historical sites: the North Attleborough Historical Society, The Falls Fire Barn Preservation Society, the Mount Hope Cemetery Association and our Historical Commission. All are private non-profit groups except for our Commission.

We are governed by Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40, Section 8D and Town By Law, Article VIII, Section 3. We are volunteers appointed by the Board of Selectmen to Identify, Evaluate and Protect the Historical and Archaeological Assets of our Town and we take this mission seriously. Although our budget is less than a thousand dollars a year we stretch it to the limit and depend on financial assistance from private donations, government grants, and fund raisers to move our restoration projects forward.

We are very thankful for this web design to Ray Hayward and the text writer Jack DeMattos, both volunteers! Volunteers In Preservation (VIP’s) are always welcome to help with any of our projects and their talents are sincerely appreciated.
